About me
I致e loved writing all my life and completed an MA in English Language and Literature at Glasgow University in 2003.
I then did a postgraduate MSc at Strathclyde Business School before joining a large plant hire firm.
However I soon realised that the best way for me to
use my creative skills, my business knowledge and my love of writing was
as a freelance copywriter. I started Wheatley Copywriting in 2007
and haven稚 looked back since!
How I'll tackle your project
My aim as a freelance writer is to produce excellent writing that delivers your message effectively and maximises your profits.
To this end, I approach every writing project with professionalism, imagination and thoroughness:
- I listen to my clients! After all, you know more about your business than I do. I begin each job with a consultation in person or by telephone, to gather as much information as I can about what you are trying to achieve. I値l also be in touch throughout the process to run ideas and drafts by you and to make sure you池e happy with how things are going.
- I know the value of research. Before I start writing, I make sure I知 clued up on who your customers are and what your competitors are doing. How else can I be sure that we'll outdo them?
- I知 flexible. I知 here to help. Need that mailshot to go out tomorrow? I can get it done. Need your website to have been populated yesterday? I知 sure we can arrange something! As for writing styles, I hope you値l test me out. I知 versatile and I love new challenges.
- The result is everything. I want an outstanding final product just as much as you do. Revisions and tweaks are provided at no extra cost.

Environment policy
Wheatley Copywriting is a small business producing relatively low amounts of waste. However I believe it is important to minimise the impact of our activities on the environment wherever possible.
I strive to:
- avoid unnecessary printing and to re-use or recycle consumables where possible;
- switch off office equipment and lights when not in use;
- select new equipment with energy efficiency in mind;
- and to minimise emissions by using public transport where viable.
